Hello All,

I am getting an error while running pisoFoam in openfoam. I attached an image of the error below. I know that "sigFpe" means a division by zero. However, I thought that there should be somewhere in the error message that identifies which script the division by zero is being performed. Can someone help point out where in the error message this would be pointed out?

Also if there are any other indicators inside of the error message that indicate: where the error is/why it happens/ how it takes place/ how to fix it, could you please point it out?

Thank you,
~Michu

Hi,

The error usually means divergence of solution. And since it is in kEpsilon, check you a) BCs, b) mesh.

Hello alexeym,

Thank you for identifying the problem, apparently something is up with my mesh. I am guessing I need at least a certain amount of space between two points. When I tried to move them farther apart, the error went away. Thank you for your help!

Thank you,
~Michu
