Hello,
I have used CFDEM for a period of time. In LES-DEM (CFDEM), the governing equations are as attached picture, the filtered stress tensor and sub-grid stress tensor is considered, however, the effects of sub-grid scale (SGS) fluctuation on particle Lagrangian motion in turbulent flows is not considered. I want to add this fluctuation into LES-DEM (CFDEM), however, I think is somewhat difficult in CFDEM. I note that there is a dispersionModel in DPMFoam, does dispersionModel represent the effects of sub-grid scale (SGS) fluctuation on particle Lagrangian motion? When I adopt the turbulence model of LES in DPMFoam, what is difference between CFDEM and DPMFoam?
Can anyone give me some advice?
