Hi all,

I am using AMI boundary condition between a solid and fluid region.

What is the meaning of

Code:
AMI: Patch source sum(weights) min/max/average = 0, 1.414076, 0.9999949
AMI: Patch target sum(weights) min/max/average = 0, 1.182242, 0.992691
in the log-file?

Best

Hi,

I did a very simple test before and compiled my findings in my slide (p. 84-)

Hope this helps,

Thank you!

So since 1 is the optimal value I think mine are quite o.k., aren't they?

Code:
AMI: Patch source sum(weights) min/max/average = 0, 1.414076, 0.9999949
AMI: Patch target sum(weights) min/max/average = 0, 1.182242, 0.992691

Hi,

I think it depends on which cyclicAMI or cyclicACMI you use.
Minimum and maximum weights ideally should be 1 in the case of cyclicAMI.
(I can't understand why the maximum weight is greater than 1.)

You might want to read the release note if you use cyclicAMI (lowWeightCorrection option):

Hope this helps,
Fumiya

I am using

Code:
type            mappedWall;
        nFaces          141075;
        startFace       5371729;
    sampleMode      nearestPatchFaceAMI;
        sampleRegion    [...];
        samplePatch     [...];
in chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam to couple a solid and fluid region thermally.
