hydraulist is on a distinguished road
Hello,
I'm using OF2.3.1 for my M.Tech. project. I've done a horizontal harmonic excitation of tank similar to the studies carried out by Dongming Liu a, Pengzhi Lin in Journal of Computational Physics titled "A numerical study of three-dimensional liquid sloshing in tanks, 2008" for initial validation of solver, so that i can further use the same solver for my specific problem.
The time history of surface height near left wall is attached in figure. The surface height computed by OF2.3.1 is almost 20% less than the results of Lin et. al.
I've used interDyMFoam solver and used gen6DoF application for generating tank displacement.
I varied the viscosity of liquid and checked but there is no variation in results. Could you please help me to find the reason for the mismatch in the results?
Thanking you.
