Define Surface Monitor

Hallo,
like in Fluent I would like to define a pressure surface monitor (e.g. area-weighted average) on the inlet face.
How is that possible?

Hi,

I think that patchAverage utility is what you are looking for.

Use it with:
patchAverage p inlet

Hi Achim!

If you want "live"-monitoring of the pressure during calculation you can write a functionObject or use this one:

For plotting you can use this:
http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib_PyFoam#Plotting_with_customRegexp-file s

It's quite easy. But I'm a bit biased.
