Does anyone have experience do
Does anyone have experience doing Eulerian/Lagrangian coupling in Foam? I'm trying to write a solver for spray calculations based off of interFoam that will perform a VOF calculation within the liquid core of the spray and switch to a Lagrangian method once the spray has become more disperse. Can anyone give me suggestions for how to do the Lagrangian bit? Would it be best to use the dieselSpray class and create a custom injector (although dieselSpray is meant to be used with dieselFoam, not interFoam...how tricky would it be to adapt it?) or create a custom Lagrangian class?

it looks we are doing the sami
it looks we are doing the samilar work. before learning OpenFOAM, i wrote some code about dry granular flow using Lagrangian method. Currently, i want to instead the solid phase in the twophasefoam by using of mine. you are welcome to discuss with me, because i have some trobules also. My email is mahuang(a)polyu.edu.hk

Have u coupled the interFOAM with Lagrangian model in case of dense and dilute spray??
I m working on the same problem, plz share the coupling concept. (sk1.javed@gmail.com) Thanks in advance. |
Hi,
take a look at http://www.openfoamworkshop.org/6th_...ier_slides.pdf deals with Mass transfer cavitation model based on VOF (Volume Of Fluid) for Bubbles larger than the grid size and LPT (Lagrangian Particle Tracking) for Bubbles smaller than the grid size =>Coupling of Eulerian and Lagrangian models : multi-scale model |
