Hi,

Continuing my efforts to add/remove layers in a mesh, I managed to create a faceSet (using faceSet),
but now have no idea how to convert to a faceZone - whatever that is
Read about that utility (setsToZones) in several posts - but seems not to be there in 1.3?

I would also appreciate a hint to a description of what a faceZone is in contrast to a faceSet, then I could maybe manage to create one myself.

Thank you!

I am at the same point. COnverted internals from a FLuent Mesh to Sets with

fluentMeshtofoam . . -writeSets

when i type setsToZones i get the message with flipmap. i need the interior for layeraddition/removal, so is it necessary to use flipmap option? if yes, how can i do that?

if itīs sufficient to use setsToZones -noFLipMap, why do i get an error message like this:

Searched : "constant/polyMesh/sets"
Found :
2
(
INTERIORLEFT
INTERIORRIGHT
)

pointSets:
0
(
)

cellSets:
0
(
)

faceSets:
2
(
INTERIORLEFT
INTERIORRIGHT
)

Overwriting contents of existing faceZone 2 with that of set INTERIORLEFT.
Overwriting contents of existing faceZone 3 with that of set INTERIORRIGHT.
Writing mesh.

Failed writing polyMesh.

From function setsToZones
in file setsToZones.C at line 320.

Thank you for answers!
Regards!
