Hi,
can somebody tell me how to plot velocity in Paraview, I am using the 2.4 version and in the scalars there is no velocity, I think the problem is I can't separate the three (x,y,z) velocity fields there.... thanks for your help, Ali. |

You can visualize U_x, U_y and U_z separately by
1) choosing "U" under "Display"->"Color"->"Color by", 2) clicking on "Edit Color Map", 3) switching between "Magnitude" (default) and "Component" under "Vector", 4) choosing the coordinate (X, Y, Z) you'll have a look on (if you choose "Component" before). That's all. Kerstin |

Hi Kerstin
thanks for your reply, I did all those steps, yet they don't show up on my scalars so Ican plot them, I just can plot pressure, K and epsilon I use filters > extracts parts > Mesh > data analysis any idea? thanks! |
