Hello Foamers!

I fell in love with OpenFOAM last October, and been attracted to its graceful syntax and exellent framework design by then. I am research in propellant combustion, and I am very interesting in PDRFoam, but some questions pullzed me.
1) what is the usage of PDRFoam, or what can we do with this solver?
2) what is the meaning of the following variables
"betav", "Aw", "CR", and "CT" used in the solver? and their units?
3) there is no tuts of PDRFoam included in the release version of OF1.5, may be someone can offer a tutorial and some papers relevant in kind.

Thanks!!
Chou

Hi Chou

Greetings!

1)The descriptions as give in PDRFoam.C explains the purpose of this solver in quite a detail.

2)I looked around a bit in the code and IMHO I realize that the person who is aware of the theory behind the models used in this solver, will have no problem understanding the meaning
from the name of the variable.

Please do share with the forum on this thread if you find something more about this solver.

Kind Regards
Jaswi

Hello Chou,
I am presently trying to run a simulation using the PDRFoam solver. However there seem to be no tutorial for the solver. In addition, the solver keeps requesting for:
betav
CT
CW
Aw

Please have you found out anything about these variables?
