Hi,
Reading the source code it seems volumeIntegrate returns a field of volume integrals over *each* cell

tvf().mesh().V()*tvf().internalField()

and domainIntegrate returns its summation over the field

sum(fvc::volumeIntegrate(vf))

which is maybe what you need anyway (I'm using domainIntegrate for monitoring the total energy over the computational domain too).

Did you found a solution to monitor the kinetic energy?

I'm currently searching for some solution to do this in one of my simulations.
