I am new to OpenFOAM. I need to solve a unsteady diffusion problem (no convection) with source terms. I search the internet and it seems that OpenFOAM has many features. I am wondering whether I can use OpenFOAM for this problem.

I think yes, you could find OpenFOAM very useful once you go deep into the code.
