OK, with 1.4 version it seems there is a bug.
CheckYPlus does not work, it requires 'p' file form time-step directory, which in 1.4 version is called 'pd'. Looks like a simple thing, but I'm not familiar with OpenFOAM code yet, so I leave it for others BTW. Why version 1.4 seems to be so buggy? Quite often I can read somebody complaints something does not work or is missing. Regards, K |

In that case I would recommend you keep your expert comments to yourself. If you can contribute in a way that is productive please do so, if not then please stop ranting about the code being buggy. |

"expert comments" - that's what I "like" about some people.
BTW. I am not ranting, just stating the fact that something doesn't work. No more comments. |

Foam has various pressure definitions which makes writing general utilities cumbersome in some instances.
Specifically, p can be absolute pressure, kinematic pressure (p/rho) or pd - pressure without the gravity component. checkYPlus was written to work with incompressible flow with pressures of the type p/rho only. This has always been the case and is certainly not a bug introduced in 1.4. It will not and has never worked with interFoam, buoyantFoam or other compressible solution fields. Feel free to modify it do do so though. |
