Hi,

I remembered there were discussions about modeling air fraction as compressible fluid in interFoam-based solver. I am wondering if someone here has the chance to work on this type of solver?

Hi,

Did you get any help on the model. I am also trying to simulate similar problem.

Thanks

I haven't looked into it yet, but v2.2.0 has a compressibleInterFoam solver:

Let us know how you make out with it.

Hello all,

I'm new to OF, have previously been using my own LES solver. Today I started an implementation in OF using the CompressibleInterFoam. It looks like it works reasonable, I'm trying to set up a mixing case (similar to the depth charge tutorial). Struggling to specify pressure and density simultaneously which should be possible for a compressible fluid - but I'm not sure I've changed it to a perfect gas - as I'm modifying the demo.

Anyway, it looks like the depthcharge tutorial is set up for an approximate air-water interface (since the density ratio is 1000:1 and the sigma for s.t is ~72e-3).

Hope you can get it working and if so I'd be keen to discuss.

All the best,
Mike
