More of a notice than a question:

When doing mpi parallel runs on a machine running Ubuntu, I've noticed the solver will hang when your network connection changes.

I'm using 1.4.1 and Ubuntu 7.10.

I havn't done extensive tests, and it is not my forte - but my solution is to turn off all network connections before doing a run.
