I'm using the turbulent inlet boundary condition. One is supposed to give a fluctuation scale along with this b c. Could someone please tell me how the fluctuation scale is incorporated into my inlet b c as time goes by. Suppose I have given an x direction inlet velocity of 10 m/s and 0 in the other two directions, what does then a fluctuation scale of (0.05 0.05 0.05) mean? I'm especially interested in the y and z direction. Also, I assume the mass flow is conserved when fluctuating the inlet?

I m a beginner in OpenFoam and I want to program fluctuations with tensor... for example I want the following program to do with fluctuations. magSqr(fvc::grad(U))+ sqr(gradU.component(tensor::YX) + gradU.component(tensor::XY)) can someone help me? best regards Emo |
