I just searched for thermolysis, pyrolysis and gasifier with no success. I'm working on a renewable energy project. When the funding comes through, I need to assemble a system to model a bio-refinery. This entails modeling pyrolysis, thermolysis, partial oxidation gasification, combustion and various other reactions, thermal flows, heat exchangers, turbomachinery, catalytic reactors, etc. My hope is that I can model and optimize the entire plant on a non-trivial cluster. Is OpenFOAM up to the task? Am I going to be able to find/hire qualified/experienced developers to work with the mechanical and chemical engineers to build this model?
