Hi,
to make some performance test for a parallel run of OpenFoam, I took the icoFoam/cavity tutorial case and increased the density of the mesh. It turns out that, if I use a 800x800x1 mesh and run it on 4 processors, the velocity solver do 4/5 iterations per component, but the pressure solver reaches a limit of 1001 iterations, and the associated residual is well above 1e-6. I have decreased the timestep so that the Courant Number value does not explode. I would like to know if there is a way to get a converged solution for the pressure when I increase the density of the grid. thanks, jd |
