Incompressible viscous stress in sonicFoam -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

vitke New Member Dragan Vidovic Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 17 Rep Power: 17	Hi all sonicFoam solver contains an incompressible viscous stress term fvm::laplacian(mu, U). This form of viscous stress is based on the assumption that div U is zero, which is clearly not the case in a sonic flow. Can anyone give any justification of such viscous term, or can this be considered a bug? Dragan
