Hi everybody,

I haven't started to run simulations in OpenFOAM yet because we are trying to solve one instalation problem, but I would need to solve one question before that : if you stop the interations of OpenFOAM before the convergence,is it possible to know the error that the use of this solution would involve?
So does the software give some modelling of the error?
I am asking that because I will need to do that to use this data for optimisation design.
Does somebody know some study about this?

Many thanks for your help,

Marta

Residuals and most errors can be obtained either from the log file directly or by using utilities provided with OpenFOAM (icoErrorEstimate, icoMomentError, estimateScalarError, momentScalarError etc.)

Thank you Srinath!!!!
...Is not neccesary in order to get that to finish the convergence, I mean, can you get this information if you have stoped the interations?
