I don't know how to work with probe either. But if you select pick first then probe becomes active.

Hi,

I just had the same problem with ensight-formated data. I had multiple parts, so I had to 'ExtractParts', select 'solid...'. Then 'probe' was available; but I am not sure if it works for you.

Greetings!

Hi all,

i'm also mew here but I will try helping a little bit!!!
As far as I understood, most functions of the filter menu work in dependency to others. That is, there are some filters which have to be firstly applied in order to enable the usage of others. Like in the cavity example in the user guide where a "Cut" has to be applied before getting "contour" to work. What actually makes a lot of sence...

Hope that helped.

Regards,
v.p.

G'day,

I have worked it out,

First, you have to go 'Extract Parts" in Filter menu, then select 'Internal flows' only, press 'Accept'. 'Probe' in 'Filter' menu should came up.

Hi ztdep,

So far, the only way I found to make a probe on a curve was to create the curve with another software. Take the file with the points defining this curve and do a sample (in FoamX for instance) using this points. Sorry but I didn't find an easier way. But is someone else did, I would be pleased to know how.
