Hello forum, Why in OpenFOA

Hello forum,

Why in OpenFOAM there are Wall Functions formulation only for Turbulence Equations and not for Energy Equation and Momentum Equations?!

Thanks in advance

That's the way how it works!

If you use a high Reynolds number tubulent model than the turbulence model equation are not solved in the wall near region (see wall functions), but the RANS equations are solved everywhere.

thank you very much Stefan,

thank you very much Stefan,

but why we find also wall function formulations for Energy equation?! (see also Fluent manual..). For example Reynolds' analogy between momentum and energy transport gives a similar logarithmic
law for mean temperature.
So there is a law-of-the-wall for mean velocity, but also law-of-the-wall for the temperature. Why that is not implemented in OpenFOAM?!

Thanks in advance
