I followed the user guide to configure the foamUser file and recompile foamUser, then I got something as follows:

e7guest@flux1 > wmake libso
/workdir/flux1/e7guest/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.3/wmake/wmakeLnInclude: linking include files to /workdir/flux1/e7guest/OpenFOAM/e7gast-1.3/applications/foamUser/lnInclude

make: *** No rule to make target `libfoamUser.dep', needed by `Make/linuxGcc4DPOpt/dependencies'. Stop.

I have no idea how to fix this and need help. Thank you!

Sorry, I figured part of the reasons out, so forget about the previous report. But I got new message after typing "wmake libso":

/workdir/flux1/e7guest/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.3/wmake/wmakeLnInclude: linking include files to /workdir/flux1/e7guest/OpenFOAM/e7gast-1.3/applications/foamUser/lnInclude

/bin/sh: /workdir/flux1/e7guest/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.3/wmake/kshScripts/addCompile: /bin/ksh: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
Making dependency list for source file libfoamUser.C
make: *** [libfoamUser.dep] Error 126

Could anybody give me a hand? Thanks!

Sounds like some shell related problem. What does the output of which ksh tell you?

[username@hostname pwd]$ which ksh

I think the problem has been solved, I entered /bin directory and changed "sh -> ksh" into "sh -> bash", then it worked. Maybe the ksh doesn't have the executable staff the compilation process needs.
