Hello everyone,

I am simulating a flow with pulverized coal in a furnace with steady state solver "simpleCoalParcelFoam" in OpenFOAM v1812. The coal particles are introduced in the domain after every 25 itrs of the flow.

I have hot air and coal particles both of them are radiating energy to each other. I have tried P1 and fvDOM models.

I am unable to get the results as there is a presence of 2 radiating mediums in the flow. (my guess)

In the radiationProperties file, I am using binaryAbsorptionEmission model and in the description I am using model1 for hot air as contantAbsorptionEmission and model2 for coal particles as cloudScatter.

Inspite of this, the simulation blows up when the coal particles are introduced in the domain. I am confused on how to model this type of radiation.

Please help.
