Hi, I'm new to OpenFOAM and
I'm new to OpenFOAM and looking for a flow solver which I can use in my PhD investigation.
The most important features the solves must handle are:
* 3D laminar flow at low Reynolds numbers
* Prescribed wing motion
* High amplitudes (several chord lengths)
* High boundary velocities
* 2nd order accuracy in space
* 2nd order accuracy in time
* Parallel solvable
Could someone please comment on these features. When OpenFOAM is suitable for my needs (with acceptable (programming) efforts) I will probably make the switch from Fluent to OpenFOAM since Fluent is very pour with moving meshes.

The automatic mesh motion solv
The automatic mesh motion solver will be just the thing for you - all you need to do is to specify the motion of the surface mesha dn the motion of internal vertices is calculated for you.
The rest are all standard and well tested features of foam.
Could someone please comment o
Could someone please comment on the accuracy in space and time when moving meshes are used. The amplitudes are large.
