Hi all,

I would like to ask if somebody is already doing Euler/Lagrange calculations
for particle-laden flows? Or is there an algorithm for particle tracking
available in the standard libraries that could be used for some first steps?

Thank you.
Marcus

There is already an algorithm for particle tracking being used by the dieselSpray class.

type 'src' and have a look in the lagrangian directory.

or have a look at the sample-utility which also uses it.

the word to look for is track.

Hi, Rasmus,

I am interested in a problem that I am wondering if I can also use your approach:

At t=0, metal particles evenly distribute in liquid inside a container. A magnetic field (due to a permanent magnet) is suddenly introduced. The particles start to flow. These particles may collide with each other and evently, these particles will hit a wall and stop. I also need to add an equation to calculate the body force due to magnetic field.

What do you think?
