Hello,

I am new to FOAM and would like to evaluate it for aerodynamic computations up to M=6. Mainly perfect gas or a non reactive mixture of two gases (hot plume + air). Could anyone suggest where to start (tutorial, example computation, etc.). Futhermore I have some experience in writing a CFD solver/library in C++ and FOAM seems to be a good opportunity to customise things. With commercial software I keep running into limits that could be overcome quickly, if only the source code would be available .. ;-) Since I just cannot keep up with my own code, due to everyday's work, I would like to try FOAM - it looks very promising. Any suggestions where to start for this - code examples and the like?

Thanks a lot,
Oliver
