How to use the engine solvers with layer addition and removal

Hi,

I'm using dieselEngineFoam. I've seen by googling on this topic that some have implemented the layer addition and removal for this kind of simulation.

I don't think it is boxed with dieselEngineFoam since it use a engineMesh and not a dynamicMesh.

I would really appreciate if anybody could explain me how to modify dieselEngineFoam to run it with layer addition and removal.

Thank you.

Francesco.

So far, I looked at the simpleEngine example available for the 1.4.1-dev version. It uses some classes unavailable in the 1.5 version.

My first guess is that I need to use dynamicFvMesh with topoChanger and link its implementation with the engine motion of the fvMotionSolverEngineMesh.

Any other ideas?

Marco seems to have the same concerns than me on this page.
