What is pd in buoyantSimpleFoam

Hi
Could someone please explain to me what the field pd means in buoyant simple foam? I understand p as the total pressure in this solver , not the static pressure. I was expecting pd to be the dynamic pressure - but I was getting negative values for pd. My next assumption is pd has something to do with turbulence model. Please give me a brief explanation that will help me study it in detail from books. Thank you Prapanj |

Hi, Prapanj, pd is dynamic pressure, maybe the following thread can help you to understant it, and in 1.6 version, pd is replaced by static pressure p.
