Dear Foamers,

i am running into trouble when using solidParticleFoam
(http://openfoam-extend.svn.sourcefor...ParticleFoam.C)

I have a pure hex 2d mesh (1 cell thickness) and position a particle in the mesh (i tripple checked that the position IS in the mesh). When running solidParticleFoam (with zero gravity) i encounter warnings like:

--> FOAM Warning :
From function Foam::cellPointWeight::findTriangle(const polyMesh&, const vector&, const label)
in file interpolation/interpolation/interpolationCellPoint/cellPointWeight/cellPointWeight.C at line 291
Triangle search failed; using closest triangle to point
cell face: 598

Sometimes those warnings vanish after some time and tracking works fine. But when i change the initial particle position only by 1mm then those warnings are shown indefinitly and no tracking occurs.

Any ideas?

Every kind oh help is highly appreciated.

Thanks
Christian

Issue seems to be solved.

i used OF 1.5.x at first.

After checking the solver with 1.6.x it seems to work fine
