Hypersonic with OpenFOAM
Hi !
First, I'm completely new with OpenFOAM. I have to study it's possibilities in the area of hypersonic CFD. So here are my questions : Does OpenFOAM have a built-in tool to handle hypersonic flows? Has any public work been done on the subject? (I found some clues on this forum but nothing conclusive) Thank you for your answers, Maxime |
Hi Maxime,
is an interesting topic! Maybe you already did, but you should have a look at this thread: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...-aerofoam.html What Mach number regime do you want to simulate? depending on this, what phenomenon (chemical reaction, vibration, radiation etc) of hypersonic flow do you have to model? cheers, Florian |
