Steady state solver for chemical reaction

Hello everybody,

i am trying to set up a CH4 with air combustion (flame). i am interested in the temperature distribution at steady state. i am actually using the reactingFoam solver. i not really interested in the time variating distribution, but in the time where the temperature is fixed.

can anybody give me an advise how to modify the reactingFoam solver to bring the simulation to the point of a steady state?

best regards,

Ilja

Try to use alternateSteadyReactingFoam for OF version 1.5 developed by M. Rehm. For v1.6 you have to modify this for new function calling (chemistry is included in thermo packages).
For better info about this look at http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...1-cantera.html
