Stirling Engine Simulation in OpenFoam
 

Does anyone out there have experience simulating constant volume regenerative cycles like the Stirling Cycle in OpenFoam?

Does anyone know if OpenFoam has the capability to simulate such thermodynamic cycles?

I understand that this thread has been quite since 2010, but if either of you had any luck creating an OpenFOAM Stirling cryocooler or engine simulation, I'd be very interested to hear about it. Particularly, the solvers and the boundary conditions used.
