Hi
I'm trying to simulate a blade of a crossflow turbine rotating about a central axis using TurbDyMFoam. The simulation runs ok except that the velocity on the blade does not stay at (0,0,0) as specified in the initial boundary condition: Blade { type fixedValue; value uniform (0 0 0); } Instead it climbs much higher than the other values in the boundary layer. The attached pics show two close ups of the blade's leading edge with velocity vectors (and pressure contour). Can anyone tell me how come the velocity on the blade is not 0 and how do I fix it? Do I need a movingWallVelocity (0,0,0)? Many thanks Nick |

The movingWallVelocity isn't the answer
