Dear all,
can it be useful to maybe attack moving geometries in a different way than to alter the mesh... I was thinking of something like maybe volume-of-fluid (volume-of-solid, then). The mesh is static, and moving walls are handled by dynamic cellSets. These cellSets then determine how to solve the equations. These are just loose thoughts, but did anyone ever consider this as an option? It seems to be easier to handle parallelization (unlike sliding interface), which is why I came to think of it, and possibly less picky on mesh structure (unlike layer add/remove) Problems: How to handle a cell half filled by solid Numerical stability ... more? Regards, Kalle |
