Unexpected large decrease in Total temperature across the shock using sonicFoam

Hi OpenFOAM users!
The past week I have been looking into the possibility to use sonicFoam for some of my Uni work but have been I am experiencing some issues.

Using the tutorial:

..\tutorials\compressible\sonicFoam\laminar\forwar dStep

For the given case of Ma=3, it was noted that the total temperature seen in ParaView using the Filters->Data Analysis->Calculator and creating a field using this formula

T0 = T + (mag(U))^2 / (2* cp)

Where cp was obtained using data from the thermophysicalProperties file.

There is a significant drop in total temperature across the shock. Also the recovery temperature is also significantly lower then what I would expect.

Can anyone can point out what I am doing wrong?

I do not have this issue if I use the older (no longer part of the official source) rhoSonicFoam - this solver uses defined thermodynamic properties for cp and R. The solver rhoSonicFoam is not attractive to me as I want to use the ePsiThermo Model.

Cheers!
Nishit
