The mysterious _0 fields
 
Can somebody tell me what is the use of the mysterious _0 fields (U_0,phi_0,T_0 etc)?

They appear to be the same as the fields from which they are derived (U,phi,T etc).
Ans is there a way to supress the output of these fields?
