I am running a 2D aerofoil case, meshed with blockMesh, and using wall functions. I have found various sources that say that the y+ should be in the range 30 < y+ < 200 (the exact numbers vary slightly depending on the source, but that isn't the issue). Since I am using blockMesh, my first cell is the same height all around the surface. Therefore, I am getting a wide variation in y+. In order to get the minimum y+ above 30, the first cell height is such that I get a maximum y+ > 600. Is this reasonable, or what values of y+ should I be aiming for?
