Hello all,

I am using a lagrangian solver and try to use the "devolatilization" model.

When I start the solver I receive the following error message:

Quote:
Participating volatile species:

Unable to determine local id for component H2O

From function Foam::label Foam::CompositionModel<CloudType>::localId(const label, const word&) const
in file lnInclude/CompositionModel.C at line 235.
Can you please give me a hint what can be the reason for that error and how I can try to patch it.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards

Chrisi

mturcios777 will become famous soon enough
Have you specified H20 as a liquid species in thermophysicalProperties, and have you specified it in the composition of the droplets in the basicSprayProperties file?

Hello,

I solved my problem. I found out that I have to define the species that should devolatilize as gas and not as liquid in the reactingCloud file.

Kind regards

Chrisi
