how to extract the components of radial and tangential velocities from pump impeller

hi all,
I am studying the inner flow of pump impeller by OpenFOAM-dev-1.5 with MRFSimpleFoam solver. After numerical calculation, i can extract the x,y,z components of the absolute velocity with "foamCalc components U" and i need to visualize the radial(Ur in my attachemt) and tangential (Ut in my attachment)velocities. Is there a function to extract the components of them from cartesian coordinate system? I have think it over for serval days, but i still have no ideal about it!

Thanks in advance!
jennifer

Hi jennifer

I wrote a calcType for extracting Ut Ur Uz for a given velocity field several days ago. You can use it with foamCalc. If you want it, Just contact me with qq.

Hello Su Junwei, I am also interested in calculating Ut Ur Uz for a cartesian velocity field. Could you post the code here or send me a copy?

Best Regards, Eric

EDIT: After more searching in the forums, I found the answer to my question in the following thread:

Hi su_junwei
I also need to extract Ut,Ur,Uz from Ux,Uy,Uz in my flow field. would you please send your CalcType code to me too?
I would be really appreciate...
