Framework for moving mesh based on 2D-computation as a boundary condition

I want to build up a model using interFoam related solver and a moving mesh approach.
To hold it general: The bottom patch of the computational domain (and therefore the whole domain, filled with water and air on top) shall be able to be deformed by moving the points on the bottom patch up/down due to some calculations based on 2D-computation on the patch-cells. The 2D-computation serves as a kind of boundary condition for the movement of the bottom patch and the domain mesh.

I had a look at the solvers/tutorials in OF-1.6-ext and therefore found moveDynamicMesh, interDyMFoam, surfaceTracking (interTrackFoam, surfactantFoam). I further heard of the FAM framework implemented in the ext version, but could not yet get much insight into it.
To bring some light into this, could anybody please give me a quick comparison/show the main differences of the above mentioned solvers and which one might be the best to start with for my task?
Due to large domains, the whole computation has to be done (at least in most parts) in parallel.
