Solver for pressure wave analysis

Hello everybody :)

I have been studying the tutorials, manuals, this forum and google. The problem might be that I am not really sure what I am looking for.

Here is my problem:

Geometry:
I have a curved short pipe with closed ends.

Analysis:
How a pressure wave travels from one end to the other, then reflects against the closed end to travel back the pipe.

Fluid: Air at 25°C

(I am simplifying the 180° phase shift that would appear from a open end, but suggestions about how to better analyze this is much appreciated.)

Which solver should I look into for this type of analysis?

Is there any tutorial that might be helpful?

Thank you,
Bylund

Hi Bylund,

it´s a quite long time ago, but did you find out something. I would be very interresseted in your work. I´m trying to simulate something similar, but i´m first looking for literatur resources about pressure wave propagation in fluids and the analytical approach to get a better feeling of how to built up and asses my CFD models.

let me know, how your work proceeded

best regards

MAtthias
