I know that chtMultiRegionFoam has popped up a bit on the forum, but I have searched inside and out and none of the threads have been very conclusive for me. I am very inexperienced with OpenFOAM and C++ and I just cannot seem to follow the scattered directions.
Quite simply, I am trying to turn the tutorial for chtMultiRegionFoam (I am using OF 1.7.0) to suit my specific case. Initially, all that I want to investigate is the heat transfer from the heater placed below side by side regions of a solid (SnO2) and a liquid (air). It should be simple, but I cannot for the life of me get the case up and running. I had enough troubles just getting the tutorial to run, so now my problems have only grown exponentially since then.
Can someone please give me some very basic and detailed step by step directions on how to change the tutorial of two solid regions and two liquid regions with a T-heater, to just one solid region and one liquid region with a rectangular prism based heater. No matter what I seem to change, I just keep getting errors. When I try and run it the program still tries to find the regions that I thought I had erased and it keeps creating files that I do not want or need. I have used buoyantPimpleFoam in the past, but this solver has a new way of compiling and obtaining data with its ./Allclean and ./Allrun etc. and I just cannot seem to catch on.
Please, I really need everyones help!! I am a student and I need to write my final report starting in the next few weeks and this is the last piece of the puzzle before I finish my term off. I need all of the help that I can get.
Thank you for in advance for your time and help. It is greatly appreciated,
