Solo Sails is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I am not by any means experienced at CFD and especially Open Foam, so forgive my complete and utter ignorance and unscientific knowledge,. However, this is the gist of my point.

I have just managed to get OpenFoam all working and making cases using a Simplefoam RAS solver that seems to be giving reasonable results, however,...

I would like to find a comprehensive Plain English list of variables in simple terms, ie...

K (turbulent intensity) Means ... and has the effect of....
Epsilon (Turbulence scale) Means ... and has the effect of...

ETC ETC.

I have searched on-line for a few days now, but just find lots of calculus and general 'geek speak' that does not help the average person with no mathematical background.

It would be great if somebody could point me to a simple basic list of the various settings and what their effects (in a general broad sense) have.

Hope somebody might be able to help.

All the best,

Andrew Wood
