Can I specify the write/data output directory?

Is there any way to specify the data output / write directory? I assume this would be done in controlDict, but I haven't been able to find anything thta will do it. It would be nice if I could create a directory called "Results" or "Solution" or whatever and have all my timesteps, forces, etc. written there instead of into the case directory.

Thanks
Shawn

You can only specify a subdirectory.

See the wiki: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Op...objectRegistry

The output goes to the IOobject's path, which can is:

instance/local/name

You give it the "instance" and (optionally) "local" when you create the IOobject. name is its name, and that becomes the filename.

instance can only be one of 5 things. See the wiki.
