Pressure distributions in potentialFoam
Hi everyone,
I'm a new user to OpenFoam and am currently trying to run some inviscid simulations using potentialFoam. I've run the cylinder tutorial and also a 2D case with a NACA0012 aerofoil. However, while the velocity distributions for both these cases looked correct, the pressure distributions looked completely wrong, looking more like a distribution of velocity potential (when running potentialFoam writep). Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, did they ind a solution? Cheers Joe 
You're right  "p" within the solver and as written out is simply the velocity potential. You'll need to calculate the static pressure on your own from the velocity field and the total pressure.

Done in OpenFOAM1.6ext.
