what turbulent boundary conditions are needed for simple foam?

what turbulent boundary conditions are needed for simple foam? how to calculate different turbulent boundary conditions?
how to calculate nut, nuTilda and R ?
Please kindly reply.

Hej,

it always depends on what kind of turbulence model you are using. simpleFoam is only the solver for incompressible flow. Therefore, it will work with different turbulence models. Check the different turbulence models that are available under http://www.openfoam.org/docs/user/st...hp#x15-91251r9 and then try the tutorials in simpleFoam. you will see that there are already turbulence models used in the simpleFoam tutorials. start out with those and then move on to more complex turbulence models. you can also check the other tutorials, which sometimes will give different turbulence models you can use.
