calculated Volume differs from BlockMesh Volume

Hi OpenFOAM-folks,
I want to calculate the heat of each cell in chtMultiRegionFoam. As I got some strange results, I let OF write the CellVolumes and summed them up as follows: Volume Code:
V = mesh.V()[celli]; Code:
VSum = sum(V); checkMesh output: Total volume = 2.55e-06 (conform to dimensions of geometry) field output VSum: Code:
