hi foamers
I am new to the OpenFoam , I have one question .
In general CFD solvers we have boundary condition and volume condition.
But in OpenFoam I am not getting how to define volume conditions ,
can anybody give some information about how to define volume conditions in OpenFoam.
with regards.

Do you mean initial conditions?
In that case, you should check the setFields pre-processing tool.

Thanks for the information.
I have checked the setfields and I think it is something similar specifying information related to volume condition properties .
Thanks once again.
with regards
Ravindra.

Dear foamers,

I have a question, which is related to this one.

I have a problem and in a certain volume of the domain I want to impose a certain temperature.

I am having a look at the setfields options. Hope to solve it.

Do you know if what I wanna do is feasible?

Thanks a lot,

Sam

Do you mean for the whole duration of the simulation? setFields will not help you a lot, it is only meant to be used for the initial conditions.
I am afraid I don't know how to do that (at least without messing with the code).

I am afraid I have to edit the source code, too.

Reading this thread it seems it's pretty easy. But I can't und which are the files I have to edit and what I have to write.

In fact I am running OpenFOAM 2.0 and I am running the buoyantSimpleFoam solver.

Could you help, please?

Thanks a lot!
