Condensation modeling in OpenFoam

I am doing CFD simulation of SAGD process of heavy oil reservoir using OpenFoam. So I need a solver to simulate the case which contains following features.

1.) Multiphase model - Three phases (Water, Steam,Oil)
2.) Incompressible
3.) Explicit handling of Porous media

4.) Should solve energy equation
5.) Need to have condensation model (Steam to water)

Hence I decided to use PorousInterFoam solver for this case but I need it to modify and add Energy Equation, Condensation model and three phases. So can anybody pleases give me any clue how to modify this solver?

Another thing I did not find any examples/cases under porousInterFoam solver. So it is great pleasure if somebody help me to find a case which has been solved using PorousInterFoam.

It is highly appreciated if somebody can help me in this regard.

Thank you

Hi Deshaka,

I am also working on the same topic. do you have any leads... Kindly help.

hello,

You will need to do some coding ...

I would start from multiphaseInterFoam instead, then look inside PorousInterFoam to see how to add porous zone in your solver, then look at http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...interfoam.html
to add energy equation (interTempFoam)
For condensation model, you should add a scalar + coupling to the liquid phase.

Not so easy, but this is clearly why OpenFoam is fun.

Good luck,

Hi Olivier
I want simulate Condensation with interFoam, i know, shuld modified the solver by adding source term and energy equation, i can implemented the energy equation but i dont have idea how adding the source term...can you guide me how modified the solver for condensation?
