I was looking for some help from some OpenFOAM experts. I'm trying to simulate a blade cascade that has a passing wake inlet. When we did the experiment we used rods on a belts that linearly moved upwards to create wakes to the inlet cascade. The cascade is basically a low pressure turbine blade profile, the wake's passing frequency and rod diameter was changed. Hot film data was taken. Now I'd like to simulate this with OpenFOAM. Suggestions on recreating this inlet boundary? I am trying to do something simple such as a clipped cosine inlet velocity profile as a start. Anybody have better suggestions, and if the clipped cosine or sine is decent start how can I do this in FOAM?

Thanks,
Sherif
